Welcome to the WikiArthuriana!

This is a wiki dedicated to Arthurian legend and lore, with special focus on the 2008 BBC television series Merlin.

WikiArthuriana includes information about the universe, production, and fandom of Merlin, legends and lore relating to King Arthur and his knights, the historical basis for the Arthurian legends, other retellings of the legends, and more.

Why not a dedicated Merlin wiki?

First of all, because there already is one, but more importantly, I felt that by incorporating Arthurian lore, historical scholarship, and previous retellings in the WikiArthuriana it would be easier to connect Merlin with the long tradition of Arthurian storytelling, and to explore the patterns and intersections among different versions of the legends.

This is a relatively new wiki, and the pages are still being created and populated with information. If you'd like to help, feel free to sign up and start editing!

Note: WikiArthuriana's spoiler policy has recently changed!

• Officially released information about specific upcoming episodes, such as episode titles, plot summaries, and promotional photos, can now be posted to the WikiArthuriana as it becomes available.

• Officially released information containing general spoilers (such as spoilery information from cast interviews or conventions) and all unofficial spoilers can not be posted directly to the WikiArthuriana. Instead, link to the information from the most relevant page with a general title, such as "Casting spoilers for 2.07".
